FORM OF REQUEST

  • A requester may request access to records of Construction ID by filling out Form C, said form is available on request from the website of the Department of Justice – www.justice.gov.za
  • The request for access must contain at the very least the following –
  • full particulars of the requester including an address in the Republic and fax and tel numbers sufficient details of the record requested for identification
  • which form of access is required
  • the right the requester wishes to exercise or protect together with an explanation of why the record is required for the exercise or protection of the right

APPEAL

  • If a requester is dissatisfied with the decision of the Information Officer or the request is refused, the requester may approach a court of law – magistrates’ court or high court for relief.
